2011 - The Year of the Fat Kid

Well with 2010 coming to a close, its time for the traditional 'Goals and Wishes for 2011' blog. First off, let me tell you how AMAZING 2010 was for me. Kept the same job from start to finish, pretty sure that hasn't happened since '86. Started a little late, but actually STARTED at Triton. But most importantly, I asked the LOML of my life to marry me...on the beach...at sunrise...in Cancun...sober. I don't think it could have gone any better.

But we are taking 2011 to the next level! Lets do this the fun way, top 10 style

1) I'm getting freakin' married! February 12th, 2011 I will have the honor of marrying Kylie Ann Burd. Pretty nervous, but even more excited to start my life with her. She truly is the best thing to ever happen to me.

2) Move into my new HOME. Kylie's amazing parents have done such an amazing job with our new house, I can't wait to move in. I will be moving in the first week of January and Kylie after the wedding. Its exciting that we have waited to live together until now, going to make it that much more exciting!

3) Get my weight under 200 pounds. I am currently looking at 233ish in the mornings. With the starting of my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey at Triton Fight Center I know this is something that can be easily done. The hardest part is going to be focusing on my diet. No more fast food and going to cut pop almost completely out...I can drink a DP from time to time, its going to keep me from killing small children at work.

4) Building on the last one, I am shooting to get my green belt. Just taking a few classes at the end of 2010, I have already fell in love with the sport and the team at Triton. It really is like a family that I am proud to become a part of. Time to put my nose to the grindstone.

5) This keep building on this BJJ thing - for #5 I want to compete in a NAGA tournament. NAGA is the  North American Grappling Association. It reminds me a lot of the good ole hockey tournament days, and I want that again. Even if I go and get tapped every match, its a learning experience that I want to be apart of.

6) BRO TATS!!! This is an easy one. Its becoming a yearly tradition for me and Colby to get tattoos together, and it is time to add to the body work!

7) Come up with 7, 8, 9 and 10 at a later date!

Look for the finish to this blog sometime within the next couple of days. Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and looking forward to an awesome New Year!
