I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack

But it's MY crappy house...

Holy crap, its been too long since I wrote on this Zanga type page you people call a B-Log...Sorry about that, I promise I will step my game up!

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. Now that everyone hates themselves and starts 'sticking' to their gym routines, Christmas is just around the corner haha...but I digress.

After an amazing Thanksgiving meal with the Burd Clan we took off to look at the new home me and Kylie will be living in once we get married. We had seen it a few nights before and let me tell you, you could only describe it with one word - ROUGH. Trash everywhere, bugs, dirt, grime and the faint smell of cigarettes and unfinished High School educations. I have NO idea how people can live like that...and with kids! But once again...I digress.

The word of the day is DIGRESS. di·gress/dīˈgres/
Verb: Leave the main subject temporarily in speech or writing

The house once in a little better shape this time, they had come by and picked up most of the trash and even cleaned up a little bit! Still smelled pretty bad in there but you have NO idea how excited I was to see what is going to be my new home. I don't know if it's the pride of being able to say 'Hey that's our house' or maybe it's the scary thought that I am growing up a little bit...but its a very exciting feeling.

Getting married. Owning a home together. Hell, I think the next step is start a stock portfolio.

Once we get the ball rolling on the renovation and what not, I will start posting pictures. I am excited for everyone to see this place. Until next time... (insert snappy exit phrase here)

Looking back without running into stuff

So everyone knows by now that I am getting married to Kylie Ann with no E Burd in February. 92 days away...frightening isn't it? We have been doing our 'Pre-marriage Counseling' with our pastor that is also doing our wedding. Talking how awesome a couple Kylie and I are (cause we really are hands down Mr and Mrs Awesomeness in the couple world), how to properly argue and talk about feelings, and about the tough things that all couples go through. Also we are talking a lot about where we come from and different things about our past, which has really got me thinking lately.

Do you ever sit back and think how things would be different if you could change ONE thing in your life? If someone gave you the chance to go back and do anything different, would you?

I personally would have to say no.

I haven't had the most 'normal' life growing up, but I also wouldn't have it any other way. All the things that I have been through have made me into the person that I am today. Yes, I am a little bit of a witty smartass, but you people love it! I grew up in a home with a single parent for the start of my life and I  wouldn't change it. My mom is easily the hardest working person I have ever met in my life. I wouldn't be anywhere NEAR the person that I am today without her in my life. Where do you think I get my strength and hard-headedness from?

Thank you Mom for everything you have ever done for me and all of your sacrifices. I love you.

Pain, happiness, tears, laughter...they all happen for a reason. Everything that you go through in life if leading up to something bigger and better. I don't think that I would be anywhere near the man that I would need to be to marry and support Kylie unless I would have had the life I have had. I had to struggle with finding myself. I had to hurt. I had to go through all the crappy relationships. All of this was leading me to being able to spend the rest of forever with the crazy ass love of my crazy ass life.

Yeah, it gets tough. Yeah, sometimes it doesn't make any sense. And yes, life would be A LOT easier if you had everything handed to you on a silver platter...but would you really want it that way?

So next time you are feeling down, or think that life is getting too hard...just remember, later on down the road all the bullshit you are going through will be worth something. You will be a better, stronger person because of all the struggles you have been through in your life. Unless you're an asshole, those people generally suck for life...

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.

Be kind, Rewind.

So this will be the most depressing blog to me so far...mainly cause its a sign that I am becoming old balls...

Take a trip back with me to a much simpler time for everyone...the 90's. Walk up to any kid on the street with their British Knights and their Starter jacket and ask them 'Who is your favorite Ninja Turtle?' They are going to be able to tell you the name, color and weapon of choice of all 4 of them. Fast forward to today and ask a punk on the street the very same question, he is going to call you a douche as he pulls out his iPhone and tweets to his friends how he just pwn3d a noob.

What. The. Fuck.

Ninja Turtles. Ghostbusters. Rugrats. Doug. Walkman. Gameboy. Furby. Giga Pet. Slap bracelets. Saved By The Bell. AOL 2.0.

The blows my mind that kids today are going to miss out on everything that was awesome about being a kid 10-15 years ago! Kids today won't know that you need to blow on a Nintendo cartridge to make the game work, they will be too busy playing online against people in Afghanistan, trying to blow shit up. Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select, Start. Kids today will never have a chance to be pissed off that they want to watch their favorite movie but have to wait 5 minutes for it to rewind in the VCR. THEY WON'T KNOW WHAT A VCR IS! They won't have a chance to be forced to use their imagination in the front yard playing ninjas because they will be too busy on their laptops Facebooking with their friends and Chris Hansen trying to catch his next predator.

Times are changing, but is it for the better? I know that technology is amazing and it is making life better for everyone...but is it making younger generations lazy as shit? When was the last time you saw a group of kids out riding their bikes cause it was fun? Forever ago. Last time you saw kids out riding their bikes it was cause they just stole those bikes from someone else.

Makes me really wonder because I am getting married in 99 days, WOO. Starting my own family and someday bringing my own kids into this world. How much are things going to change in the next 2-3 years? 10? 25? Do you raise your kids like you were raised? Or do you raise them around the new things in life? Scares the crap out of me and excites me all at the same time. Once again this is probably just the grumblings of a guy who is realizing I am on the backside of my 20's but damnit, being a kid was FUN.

To Vote or Not to...oh, something shiny!

So it's everyone's favorite time of year...

No no, not the leaves changing colors or frantic pre-Christmas shopping and bargain hunting. I'm talking about voting time people. Nothing like having your favorite TV shows and radio broadcasts interrupted with commercials of one guy dragging another guy's name through the mud. I mean seriously, if people's voting was based off who could talk the best shit, I would be President of the Universe by now. Instead of talking about bad things the other guy is doing, has done, probably wants to do...blah blah blah...Why not take the time to tell people all the right you're going to do? Make me want to vote for you cause I like you, not because the other guy got caught touching himself in public back in '86.

I don't vote. I don't care if you don't vote. The only thing that bothers me is people who DO vote, but don't educate themselves first. I still feel like some people vote just so they can get that stupid button or little sticker that says 'I Voted' and show it off around town. That is worse than going to church just to be seen...which is a whole other subject that will rear its controversial head one day.

Which actually is the reason that I don't vote, I don't feel like I am educated enough on current situations to make the correct decision. (Except for that douche on MTV, I know enough not to vote for him) I would rather NOT vote than vote for something I know nothing about. Doesn't mean I don't care about what's going on in the world today, just means I haven't taken the time to do the correct research on the topics. Call me lazy or stupid if you would like, it doesn't bother me at all.

Do I need to? Yes. Will I one day? Yes. Do I care what your opinion is about my voting status? About as much as I care about what kind of hair products you use. I am going to make a conscious effort to start educating myself on a political level here very soon. Getting married soon and starting a family, only seems right.

So if you are one of the people getting out of bed early today, using your lunch break or just don't have shit to do AND happen to go vote - Good for you. Just hope you're using your voice for the right reasons. And if you're a person voting for the wrong reasons, I hope your get a paper cut between your fingers at some point today, cause that hurts like a bitch.

Happy voting bitches...

PS - Election Day still sounds waaaaay too close to Erection Day, which I do believe they celebrate in Europe.
